Hossein Farmani is the founder and president of the Lucie Awards, International Design Awards, International Photography Awards, Paris Photo Prize, London Creative Awards, Focus on AIDS, and Farmani Gallery in New York.
Hossein’s enthusiasm for photography has carried him over the world, organizing and curating over 200 shows. Photo Lucida, Photofest, Arles Photo Festival & Yangong Photo Festival are just a few of the many festivals and awards he has juried over the last 20 years.
He co-founded the Palm Springs and Istanbul Photo Festivals. He also shared his enthusiasm for photography and design at TEDx Chiang Mai in 2014 and TEDx Bologna in 2016.
Hossein recently coordinated the Global Climate Change Exhibition for the UN at COP21 in Paris. Hossein has lectured in over 25 places worldwide, leveraging his passion for photography and design to highlight significant social concerns.
